Bucharest, August 16th 2022 – CEE Attorneys/Boanta, Gidei si Asociatii assisted OMV Petrom in taking over the ongoing tender procedures and public contracts related to the Neptun Deep Project. This step is part of the M&A transaction related to the sale of 100% stake in Exxon Mobil branch to Romgaz.
The transfer of the ongoing tender procedures and public contracts in connection with Neptun Deep Project followed the appointment of OMV Petrom as the new operator of the oil concessions in the Neptun Deep Project after Exxon Mobil has withdrawn from this role, following the transaction with Romgaz.

The CEE Attorneys team advising OMV Petrom during the entire project was coordinated by Nicolae Ursu, Partner and head of the Public Procurement team and Radu Boanta, Partner of M&A practice and included Madalina Mihalcea (Senior Associate, Public Procurement practice).
CEE Attorneys/Boanta, Gidei si Asociatii has advised OMV Petrom on the action plan and all the necessary steps for implementing this complex operation (including assisting OMV Petrom in the consultations held with the public authorities), assisting it as well in preparing the contractual structure and drafting all the documents for the transfer of ongoing tender procedures/ongoing public contracts.
