CEE Attorneys/Boanță, Gîdei and Associates Advised Dataware Consulting in the Sale of a 70% Stake to the Bittnet Group

Bucharest, December 12^th 2022 – CEE Attorneys/Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații advised Dataware Consulting (Dataware), an integrator of IT&C products and services, in an M&A deal whereby a 70% stake in the company was acquired by the Bittnet Group, a group of IT companies listed on the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The value of the transaction was about 18.6 million RON.

During this transaction, the CEE Attorneys/Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații team, consisting of Sergiu Gîdei, Krisztina Voicu (partners) and Mădălina Mihalcea (senior associate), provided legal assistance in connection with the due diligence process and during all stages of negotiation and signing.

The transaction is subject to approval by the Competition Council and if completed as expected, in the first half of 2023, Dataware will join the Cloud & Infrastructure group within the Bittnet Group’s technology division.

With a team of about 40 employees and collaborators, Dataware is a Romanian IT&C company founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs Cătălin Cristian Georgescu and Constantin Adrian Savu, implementing technology services and solutions such as data networking, block & file storage, storage area network, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, forensic software and security solutions.
